Praxair Starts Up Korean Nitrogen Plant

Praxair has begun operation of a new ultra-high-purity (UHP) nitrogen plant and back-up liquid nitrogen storage tank at its facilities in Kihung, on the southern outskirts of Seoul. The plant became operational in April 2001, and increases capacity at the Kihung facility by approximately 40 percent. The expansion will make the Kihung facility one of the largest UHP pipeline complexes in the world. Praxair has been supplying high purity gaseous nitrogen to Samsung Electronics through a stainless steel pipe since 1993.
